Reims Cathedral

It is also known as Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral: The place where kings were crowned. It is a very important touristic destination, receiving over half a million visitors in year 2006. It is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This Cathedral was built upon another Cathedral that was unfortunately consumed by fire, and it is known that it was the site of Roman baths far back in the past. An interesting fact is that it was under English siege during the Hundred Years` War.

Reims is the second Cathedral with the largest collection of statue figures in Europe and some of the fine artifacts this cathedral contains are a beautiful organ and a choir clock.
