Getting St John sBy Bus There are several minibus companies connecting St John's with the towns and villages across the island, but the biggest and most reliable is DRL Coachlines (tel 738-8088, www .drlgroup.com ), which has daily departures from the airport and the Education Building at Memorial University for towns along the Trans-Canada: principal stops are Clarenville ($28), Gander ($42), Grand Falls-Windsor ($52), Deer Lake ($69), Corner Brook ($73), Stephenville ($79) and Channel-Port aux Basques ($90). By Air The Saint John Airport is located 16 KM from the centre of the city. The cost for a cab is approximately $25.00 per person one-way. An official shuttle service operates corresponding with time of major arrivals and departures. Airport limousine service is available for approximately $35.00 per trip. |
