Edmonton City

Edmonton feels oddly dispersed, even in the six-block downtown area around Sir Winston Churchill Square and along the main east-west drag, Jasper Avenue (101st Ave). Bounded to the south by the North Saskatchewan River, this grid holds a few assorted points of interest, though much of the younger and more cosmopolitan Edmonton resides south of the river in Old Strathcona .

The Edmonton's shopping areas are:
The high Street: This shopping area is home to an array of unique shops including Carmela's Profumeria, Kringles At Home, From Times Past and Greenwood's Small World bookstore, among others.
The Mayfield Common: Located on the city's west side, this shopping area contains several popular shops including Winners, Sport Chek, Reitman's and Globo Shoes. Save-On Foods, and Office Depot.

There are also the South Edmonton Common, the Whyte Avenue, South Park Centre, and many others.
