Festivals in CalgaryBanff Festival of Mountain Films Head to Banff at the end of October, and meet film makers, film lovers, and movie stars. Enjoy this world festival of mountain-themed cinema held at the Banff Centre for the Arts. International Native Arts Festival Celebrate Calgary’s native Indian heritage. This festival is held following Stampede, and is centered around the Stephen Avenue Mall. Calgary Folk Music Festival In late July, Prince's Island is alive with the best Folk Music with a weekend long party. Over 40 acts on four stages, spread over both days and evenings. Calgary International Jazz Festival In late June, more than 300 musicians perform all types of jazz in a variety of venues around town. (Some are bars and lounges that may require you to be 18 years of age). WineFest The Festival is a presentation of samples of 350 wines, plus breads, gourmet cheeses and pates. |
